The theme of this year’s National Home Energy Conference was “Targeting CO2 - the expanding role of the Energy Officer” and focused on the range of new targets and challenges being introduced by the Government.
Presentations on climate change, health and fuel poverty complemented the central theme of the Conference, which included site visits to relevant projects.
Seminar sessions looked at how to secure the necessary resources to enable local authorities to maximise funding from the Carbon Emissions Reduction Target funds (CERT) and the Government’s Green Homes Initiative.
The Conference also focused on the HECA review, what this may mean for HECA Officers and the expanding role they are likely to have in achieving these latest Government aims and targets.
