The National Home Energy Conference 2007

Fuelling the debate: Energy Efficiency / Renewables / Nuclear Power

Held on 17 & 18 May, 2007
at the Europa Hotel, Belfast, Northern Ireland

The theme for the 2007 conference, the first to be held in Northern Ireland, was: Fuelling the debate: Energy Efficiency / Renewables / Nuclear Power.

The conference had a new direction, with the focus being to encourage debate on ways we can supply energy to our homes (see below), whilst accepting responsibilities for a lower carbon future. Another first, was arranging visits to see some of the excellent projects and achievements that have been made in Northern Ireland.

UK HECA also accepts that travelling to and from conferences causes emissions. In order to help mitigate these effects, UK HECA agreed a package with the Woodland Trust to help offset these emissions.

UK HECA Would like to extend their gratitude for the valued support of this year's conference sponsors, see below, as well as all those who have contributed to the National Home Energy Conference 2007.
